Founded on August 28, 2017, Go Cultura Foundation was born from necessity—not invitation. At a time when Aruba lacked a clear cultural vision, we stepped into the gap. Not because it was easy, but because it was urgent. We didn’t wait to be asked. We built what needed to exist.

From day one, we’ve been committed to more than just preserving heritage—we’re designing the future of culture in Aruba. Through concerts, documentaries, biographies, talk shows, workshops, and grassroots initiatives, we’ve created spaces where stories are told, creativity is honored, and people feel seen. We’ve brought the arts into the spotlight, not as decoration, but as strategy.

One of our most ambitious initiatives is the development of Aruba’s Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs). In 2022, we formally announced our intention to lead this effort. By 2023, we launched the island’s first-ever CCI mapping initiative—not because we were commissioned to do so, but because no one else did. Where government plans sat idle and institutional will fell short, we moved. This isn’t theory. It’s action. We’re laying the groundwork for a sustainable creative economy—powered by real data, built for long-overlooked talent, and driven by a vision that refuses to wait for permission.

Today, Go Cultura Foundation is widely recognized as a driving force in Aruba’s cultural and creative ecosystem. But recognition was never the goal—impact was. And still is.
